Uncle Tom's Cabin and the Help

I did not read the entire novel of "Uncle Tom's Cabin" but I did read parts of some of the chapters and I also read several reviews of the novel. I thought that what I read and what I found out about the novel is very interesting. I also found a short video that I liked. It does not really talk that much about the novel but it says some things about it.

The novel "Uncle Tom's Cabin" kind of reminds me of the movie, "The Help". Here is a brief description telling what "The Help" is about. An aspiring author during the civil rights movement of the 1960s decides to write a book detailing the African-American maids' point of view on the white families for which they work, and the hardships they go through on a daily basis. As you can see both the novel "Uncle Tom's Cabin" and the movie "The Help" both talk about what the blacks had to do and go through during slavery. If you have not seen this movie yet I recommend that you go out and rent it and watch it. It is a very good film!
